Ladies, you don’t need a black belt in martial arts to protect yourself. Why don’t you think about it? A criminal signs up at a local dojo (martial arts school) and says, “Sensei, I want to terrorize the neighborhood more. Can you show me some great UFC moves?” Do you honestly believe that? Moreover, no self-respecting teacher will allow them.

So why wouldn’t a black belt be necessary? Because defending yourself in a self-defense situation is very different from learning martial arts for a sport or tournament. It’s a tournament school. Don’t get me wrong, I think martial arts training is a great path and a great insight to learn about yourself. But when it comes to street self-defense and personal protection skills, it falls short.

Think about your local criminals and thugs. They’re amazingly efficient at creating fear and injury. Because they understand what scares you, and they understand that violence is quick and deadly.

If we want to understand how to deny the possibility of a criminal attack, we must understand how criminals act. You can’t learn this in a black belt class. If you want to neutralize violence and efficiently and effectively neutralize your attackers as quickly as possible, you need to understand the all-important targeting and how to infiltrate and injure your opponents. You can’t learn this in a black belt class. where can i learn this? It is only taught in reputable women’s self-defense programs.

Understanding how criminals think, how triangular crime works, how to raise awareness, and what personal protection options are available can reduce your chances of being targeted as a potential victim.

So, while a black belt in martial arts may not always protect you, attending a women’s self-defense class can improve your self-defense options and safety.
